Finding what you need in the Pocono Mountain region is not as simple as it is in more suburban areas. Shopping locally encourages small businesses, offers more variety than the usual big box store and supports the Pocono economy. Local suppliers do not always advertise. We do not have a Lowe’s on every other corner.
You can try to find “it” by calling around. But if you don’t know who to call, where do you start?
Locals, who have lived here all their lives, will tell you that you can get “it” at Bob’s garden place, over in X town. No one knows Bob’s business name or phone number. He is not listed in the telephone book. He doesn’t have a website. So you drive the half hour over to X town just to find that Bob’s place closed 3 or 4 years ago.

Pocono Vineyards and Breweries
Pocono vineyards produce mainly French-American hybrid and vinifera grapes. They are well suited to our mountain climate. The Poconos also produces wine made from fruit. Strawberry, peach, blackberry and blueberry wines are a few varieties you may find. In our directory below we have tried to include them all. If we have missed someone, please use our Add a Vineyard Form at the bottom of the page. Many offer guided tours of the facility, wine tasting and eclectic wine shops on premises.
